configuration, including

on low, mid and high-end Cisco routers and switches.

From my consulting projects for a number of Midwest Internet providers and
private corporate clients, I have extensive experience with
security issues, including designing and implementing
authentication solutions
(including RADIUS, TACACS, LDAP,SecurID and others)
and also
IP filtering,
with a strong interest in filtering to enforce
policy and security, including anti-spoofing.
Some sample projects
High-availability Internet connectivity
At Webstreet I was responsible for 3640 and 3660 Cisco routers
providing redundant high-speed internet access,
including tuning HSRP and BGB configurations for a
high-availability network of routers providing DS-3 connectivity
and BGB routing to several distinct backbone providers.
Implementation of multiply-redundant remote site connectivity
for a corporate WAN
Designed and implement a system for
connectivity between a main office and a satellite site using multiple
(load-balanced) T1 circuits as well as automatic fallback to an
internet VPN if both leased lines failed.
Non-profit Internet access Coop
As vice-president of the
ISPFH coop,
worked with other members on the
board and on the ISPFH technical committee
to design and implement a
secure
colocated router and switch serving
ISDN
and leased-line connectivity to all coop members,
including bandwidth shaping and
traffic monitoring
services, including two moves between colocation facilities,
both with minimal downtime.
